A prominent player within Zambia's dynamic mining and construction sector is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Crushing and Screening Plant Manager to join our operations based in Lusaka. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the efficient, seguro, and profitable operation of our mobile crushing and screening fleet.

About the Role:

Reporting directly to senior operational management, you will be entrusted with the overall leadership and performance of our mobile crushing and screening units. Your primary focus will be ensuring these critical assets deliver optimal output, meet production targets consistently, operate within stringent safety parameters, and adhere to planned maintenance schedules – all while controlling operational costs effectively.

Responsibilities:

Plant Operations Leadership: Direct the daily operations of multiple mobile crushing and screening plants across designated project sites. Ensure seamless coordination between units.

Production Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to maximize plant throughput, eficiencia (producir), y calidad del producto (gradation/specification) to meet or exceed project requirements.
Seguridad & Compliance Champion: Foster an unwavering "safety-first" culture. Ensure strict compliance with all company safety policies, Zambian mining/OH&S regulations (including MMSD requirements), y normas medioambientales. Conduct regular risk assessments and toolbox talks.
Maintenance Management: Oversee comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for all mobile plant equipment (trituradoras, pantallas, transportadores, cargadores). Manage breakdown response efficiently to minimize downtime. Coordinate closely with maintenance teams.
Gestión de equipos & Desarrollo: Dirigir, motivate, train, and develop a team of plant operators, mecánica (or coordinate with), and supporting staff. Manage performance effectively.
Control de costos & Presupuesto: Monitor operational expenditures (combustible, regiones, labour), identify cost-saving opportunities, and contribute to budget preparation/management for the crushing operations.
Technical Problem Solving: Diagnose complex operational issues promptly and implement effective solutions to maintain continuous production flow.
Informes & Administration: Prepare accurate daily/weekly/monthly reports on production volumes, plant availability/utilization, actividades de mantenimiento, incidentes de seguridad (si alguno), fuel consumption, costs incurred etc.
Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate effectively with site managers, ingenieros de proyecto, quarry managers/maintenance planners/suppliers regarding scheduling material feed requirements maintenance needs parts supply etc.
